About this job
How do I tell a repair from a blockage?
Where the water comes out is the tell. Over the front edge along the whole run, usually in heavy rain, is a blockage. A steady drip from one spot, in the same place every time, even in light rain, is usually a joint. If you are not sure, send a photo of where it drips and I will tell you which one you have got.
What won't you take on?
Replacing a full run of roofline, anything that needs scaffolding, and work on the roof itself. I do the small fixes that stop a gutter leaking, not roofline replacement. If that is what your house actually needs, I will say so rather than sell you a repair that will not hold.
Why is it cheaper during a clean?
Because most of the cost of a small repair is getting set up at the right spot on the house. If I am already up there clearing the run, that part is done, so the repair is £20 instead of £35 on its own.
The rest of the roofline
I only do the roofline under this name: gutters, fascias, soffits and small repairs. Everything else outside the house — windows, driveways, roof cleaning, solar panels, conservatories — goes through ClearSky Window Cleaning. Same person, same van, same phone. It's just a different part of the round.
